The universe is full of many questions and the Piscean Age has seen its share of false prophets to provide answers: Ron L. Hubbard, a handful of Dalai Lamas, Joan or Arc, the Commodore 64, whomever snake handlers worship. Good dudes and dudettes to be sure, but none of them possess the ‘je ne sais quoi’ needed to spark a spiritual revolution and provide us with the ‘joie de vivre’ we strive for. Fret naught, for there is one celestial being begat of the Fornax galaxy and made man who has uncovered humanity’s profound role in the cosmos. This man exudes bravado and smells like sex. "Let it Beard" is an animated short film that follows the misadventures of an enigmatic religious family known simply as “The Cult”. With the stain of the counterculture still hanging over this early 1970’s version of Los Angeles, the Captain and his bevy of devoted followers aim for truth, inner peace, and run various entrepreneurial endeavors on their path to transcendent enlightenment. When they aren’t doing that stuff, they like to have sex and play in a band.
